Will All The Stimulus Fail?

Morning all.

That disappointing feeling when you laying in bed checking markets and you see US futures all limit-down already!

I think there was some hope yesterday that record stimulus packages, bailouts, even the chance of money being sent directly to people would all help stabilise markets and provide some confidence that economic damage from the virus pandemic could be kept in check.

Overnight markets did nothing to back-up this sentiment though with US futures hitting limit down and markets like $AUS200 adding to a string of -6% sessions that I’ve noticed recently.

I just took a look at the $SPY premarket and it’s suggesting 239.48 which is a touch above yesterdays low and a fraction above Monday’s close. It’s very early though and this will change.

So it looks like indexes could be setting up for another challenge of this weeks lows and if they can’t rally after all the support measures announced yesterday, then there is definitely some risks of moving to test the next levels of market support.

Thanks for your time.
